The summer months (May - August) are hot and humid though. Showers can be fierce but are usually short. The Mexico climate is most unreliable in September and October, due to the hurricanes that form off the Caribbean coast in the gulf of Mexico.

The Yucatan average daily temperature is around 79-86 degrees F. In the evenings it cools down to a milder 65 degrees, though from May to September temperatures remain generally higher.
