Description

Overview
Rainforest Bobsled Jamaica at Mystic Mountain covers an area of more than 100 acres beginning near Dunn’s River Falls and stretching more than 700 feet above sea level at the peak of Mystic Mountain. This is an environmentally friendly attraction for all ages supporting a diverse ecosystem of natural springs, tropical foliage, native trees and a variety of native bird species. Mystic Mountain exemplifies the natural, unspoiled beauty of Jamaica; the tours and rides have been carefully built & designed for minimal impact and the smallest possible physical disturbance to the environment.

The Tranopy tour covers all three unique excursions in one tour:

Rainforest Sky Explorer-  The Sky Explorer, located near the park’s Coast Road entrance, is a state-of-the-art chairlift that soars above the treetops through the canopy. The ascent on Sky Explorer skims the top of the canopy, providing sensational views of the sparkling Caribbean Sea and coastline and close-up views of tropical treetops on the way to the peak of the 700 foot Mystic Mountain. The return ride on Sky Explorer carries riders just below treetop level, but high above the forest floor to become one with the tropical wilds.

Rainforest Bobsled Jamaica- This signiture attraction features custom-designed bobsleds celebrating the Jamaican bobsled teams of Olympics past. Guests will travel on winding, stainless steel rails on a 3,280-foot gravity-driven ride through the forest. The bobsled track was laid around the natural landscape to minimize the environmental impact. Riders control their own speed, allowing for either a leisurely tour through the forest or something a little more interesting. At the end of the ride, the bobsled slides to a graceful stop and is slowly pulled back by cable to the top of the mountain, completing the entire circuit in approximately six minutes.

Rainforest Zip-Line Tour-  Through a series of tree-to-tree platforms riders zip through the coastal forest on a customized zip line. This is a guided tour that covers virgin areas of the mountain, finishing at the mid-station of the Rainforest Sky Explorer chairlift, which returns zip-line riders to the park entrance.

Jamaican Railway Station & Mystic Pavilion- Designed by the acclaimed Jamaican architect Ann Hodges, the picuresque three-story building is designed as a replica of an early 1900's Jamaican railway station. Stunning views of Jamaica's north coast are paramount along the majestic vista of the hills and valleys of St. Ann. With over 9,000 square feet, the multi-level rail station features a lookout tower, second level bar & restaurant, retail space for shopping, photo shop and is the boarding point for the Bobsled Jamaica. Adjacent to the Rail Station, Mystic Pavilion features displays and memorabilia celebrating Jamaica's renowned culture, great moments in sports and the promotion of conservation. Perched on the edge of the mountain is the sensational setting of the infinity pool.

Mystic Dining- Chef Ravi Anne and his team create a contemporary menu of Caribbean cuisine peppered with classic favorites. Menu includes healthy options of roasted turkey and seasonal vegetable dishes, classic Jamaica specialties include West Indian curries, a favorite Mystic Mountain burger, Jerk chicken pork & Kabobs and a kid's menu (Lunch is not included).
